One bombshell replaces another! No offence to Bipasha Basu but looks like she has been replaced by Mallika Sherawat for a role opposite Vivek Oberoi.
Director Sanjay Khanduri is coming up with the sequel of his film Ek Challis Ki Last Local. The sequel is set in Delhi and is titled Gyarah Challis Ki Last Metro and was to star Vivek Oberoi opposite Bipasha Basu.
But there is a change in the cast. A birdie chirps to us that Bipasha is no longer a part of the film. The reason of her ouster is not clear, but sources say the makers felt she didn’t suit the character of a Punjabi girl well. However, Bipasha’s exorbitant acting fee may be the reason why the producers let go of the idea of casting her and roped in Mallika Sherawat in her place.
So now we will see Vivek Oberoi romancing Mallika Sherawat in the movie.
Both Mallika and Vivek need a hit film to change the trajectory of their career graphs. Will Gyarah Challis Ki Last Metro be the one?
Vivek Oberoi’s career sure can use some resuscitation for we haven’t seen him in a hit film for almost four years. His performance in Rakhta Charitra was appreciated no doubt and his latest movie Dekh Indian Circus, the DVDs of which were distributed recently to the media, has done well at festival circuit, but a hit movie would sure make his filmography look better.
